Founder, Samaky Hub
Proscovia Alando is a social entrepreneur keen on transforming the Kenyan aquaculture industry to be sustainable and inclusive, especially for women and youth. She is the founder of Samaky Hub, a startup that offers consultancy to fish farmers, and the co-founder of Ressect, a startup specialising in farming black soldier flies as alternative protein for animal feed. She plans to establish a circular farming system integrating fish, black soldier fly and indigenous crops. Proscovia earned a MSc in Sustainable Aquaculture from the University of Stirling after winning a Commonwealth Shared Scholarship.
