Indonesia's shrimp farming industry has established itself strongly within the global market. However, challenges such as disease and price fluctuations continue to impact producers and industry stakeholders.
Seeking to address these issues, JALA - a shrimp farming solutions firm - and the US Soybean Export Council (USSEC) - an organisation promoting the use of US soy internationally - are hosting Shrimp Outlook 2025, an event bringing together producers, industry stakeholders, and government representatives for knowledge sharing and networking. The event will be held on 27 February 2025 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Through Shrimp Outlook 2025, the event organisers aim to provide a platform for all shrimp industry stakeholders to discuss, share knowledge, and collaborate on solutions to current industry challenges. With the theme Shrimping Up Indonesia: Navigating Local Challenges with Global Insights, this event will present data-driven insights on shrimp farming performance in Indonesia, lessons from global shrimp producing countries, and insights and direct findings from global shrimp industry experts across various fields, from farming to diseases and market trends.
During the event, Liris Maduningtyas, CEO of JALA, will personally deliver a glimpse of the Shrimp Outlook 2025 report, which includes insights into the performance of Indonesian shrimp farming as well as market conditions, farming challenges, and sustainability aspects of the industry. Additionally, the event will feature an engaging programme of guest speakers from around the globe, promising insights into international market trends, research, and policy.
Registration for Shrimp Outlook 2025 is now open.
