The event is considered the world’s leading event for the seafood industry, hosting over 1,690 exhibiting companies and attracting more than 25,800 buyers and suppliers.
“Seafood Expo Global and Seafood Processing Global is the platform where seafood buyers and sellers come to do business on a global scale, as well as discover new seafood products, new technologies and new trends within this industry,” said Liz Plizga, Show Director for Diversified Communications, the company that produces the annual event.
“The exposition is a unique opportunity for the global seafood industry to come together and make valuable business connections.”
With a few weeks still remaining, 76 exhibiting countries currently representing an exhibit space of more than 34,800m2, are participating in the annual exposition to present their seafood products, services or processing equipment. From Argentina to Yemen, 71 national and regional country pavilions will come from all parts of the world, including new national pavilions from Libya and Japan.
“We continue to see a healthy growth in the total exhibit space and can report that we already have surpassed last year’s exhibit space by 1000m2,” said Ms Plizga.
“This mirrors the strength of the industry and that meeting face-to-face matters to buyers and sellers. Brussels remains a crucial destination for doing business in the seafood industry.”
The exhibition takes place in Brussels from 6-8 May.
