The Global Shrimp Forum - a key calendar event for shrimp industry producers, suppliers, and stakeholders - is set to return to Utrecht, the Netherlands, from 2-4 September 2025.

This year, the GSF’s three-tiered pricing structure returns, with the early-bird prices frozen at the same rate as last year, providing an added incentive for prospective delegates to secure their places as early as possible. Early-bird registration is available until 1 May at a cost of €1,200, with mid-bird registration being available until 1 July at a cost of €1,500. Following that, late-bird registration, which is available until 2 September, will cost €1,800.

For the past three years, the GSF has brought together industry professionals from around the world, welcoming thought leaders, producers, suppliers, and stakeholders to address key challenges and opportunities shaping the future of shrimp aquaculture and trade. This year’s Global Shrimp Forum will feature an impressive lineup of industry experts, including Bastiaan van Tilburg, CEO of Skretting, and Ivo Lansbergen, CEO of DSM-Firmenich Animal Nutrition and Health. Van Tilburg brings extensive leadership experience in aquafeed and nutrition and will deliver a keynote presentation about the state of the shrimp industry in Asia and Latin America, while Lansbergen will deliver a keynote discuss the future of shrimp feed formulation. Their expertise, alongside other key speakers, will drive critical discussions on the future of shrimp aquaculture, trade and consumption.

This year’s Global Shrimp Forum will feature an updated programme, supporting deeper engagement and accessibility for attendees. Notably, the side events on the first day of the event have been scheduled differently, allowing participants to attend sessions covering both wild-caught shrimp and inclusive supply chains. Additionally, the second and third days have been restructured to offer a more balanced experience, with extra plenary sessions and breakout groups covering aquafeed formulation, the use of antibiotics, and investment. The Global Shrimp Council board and members meeting will once again take place on 2nd September, the first day of the forum, reinforcing GSF’s role as the central hub for industry decision-makers.

"Each year, the Global Shrimp Forum serves as a vital platform for collaboration, innovation, and progress within the shrimp industry. With an improved programme structure and expanded language accessibility, we are making it easier than ever for participants from all over the world to engage in meaningful discussions that shape the future of shrimp aquaculture and trade," said Willem van der Pijl, managing director of the Global Shrimp Forum, in a press release.
