These included cage nets, predator nets, the X12 skirt for microalgae bloom and sea lice (Caligus) control – also available in a recyclable version – along with mooring ropes. The centrepiece of the display was the launch of the Max Pro X18 predator net, designed to improve offshore operational efficiency through enhanced durability and integrated antifouling technology.
The new netting features high-stiffness mesh to provide optimal protection against predator attacks, alongside high cut and abrasion resistance. The company also introduced the V2 Max Pro X18 variant, which uses copper particle extrusion to minimise biofouling and reduce in-situ cleaning costs. This solution has been developed to continue improving performance and efficiency in offshore operations.
“Our approach is not centered on selling standard products, but on listening to customers and designing tailored solutions that solve their operational challenges and improve profitability,” said Gopakumar Menon, vice president at Garware Technical Fibres, in a press release. “Our products are designed to protect fish from predators, pests such as Caligus, and algal blooms, while also reducing the need for pharmaceutical and mechanical treatments.”
In terms of sustainability, the company is making progress in energy transition, reducing coal usage, optimising water consumption, and reusing waste materials within its production processes.

In Chile, the local team is managed by Marcos Jofré and Francisco Serra – alongside Ricardo Gálvez in sales, Ramkrushna Borse in the technical area, and Felipe Maldonado in support – all focused on strengthening customer proximity and responsiveness.
“We thank everyone who visited our stand. It has been a pleasure to share, connect, and reconnect with clients, collaborators, and friends from the industry. This edition has been unique: for the first time, it included the presence of the President of the Republic and a significant international delegation. Undoubtedly, this is a sign that the industry is receiving broad support, which we value and celebrate,” concluded Francisco Serra, commercial manager of Garware Chile.
