In the wake of two successful editions, held in Silleda, Aquafuture Spain is set to return for its largest aquaculture industry show yet, which will be held at the IFEVI exhibition centre in Vigo from 20 – 22 May 2025.

According to Juan Lijó, director of the event, the move from Silleda to Vigo is a significant step for the show, which has already confirmed the presence of 180 exhibitors for the upcoming third edition – a 20 percent growth compared to the previous year.

“The new venue will not only allow us to expand the fair to 16,000 m² of exhibition space, but its proximity to the airport and the city's hotel capacity will reinforce the internationalisation of the show, attracting more exhibitors and visitors from around the world,” said Lijó, in a press release.

Aquafuture Spain is not only the sole aquaculture industry event to take place within the country, but also the second largest in Europe. The event aims to address aquaculture in its entirety, from fish and molluscs to emerging challenges in algae farming.

In addition to the industry exhibition, the fair will offer a complete conference programme with 25 speakers who will discuss current issues of relevance to the aquaculture industry. There will also be two rooms dedicated to commercial and research presentations, where 40 specialist talks will be held.

Through the move to Vigo and with an exciting lineup, Aquafuture Spain aims to secure its position as a key meeting point for the international aquaculture industry, promoting innovation and sustainable development in the sector.
