The organisers of the World Aquaculture 2025 convention have announced that this year's event will be rescheduled and relocated following the cancellation of the original plans by the China Society Fisheries. The updated event will take place in Hyderabad, India, from 10-13 November, 2025.

"This relocation allows us to continue providing an exceptional experience for our attendees. Despite the challenges posed by this change, we are committed to offering and ensuring a successful event and are excited about the opportunities in this new location presents. We believe it is a positive development, and it is the right time to return to India after our first successful experience," the organisers commented, in a press release.

The return of the World Aquaculture convention series to India may be fortuitous, with the industry showing significant growth in the Asia-Pacific region.

Abstracts already submitted to the cancelled World Aquaculture China 2025 event will continue to be processed by the programme committee, and all registrations will continue to be valid. Additionally, the abstract
submission deadline has been extended to August 31, 2025.
