Regarded as the gateway to Asia - and as the world’s leading region for seaweed production - Bangkok provides a resourceful location for hosting international collaboration, innovation, and industry growth.

Running from the 19-21 May 2026, industry professionals from around the world are invited to save the date as preparations are underway for what promises to be a global gathering in the heart of one of the most dynamic seaweed-producing regions.

DLG Benelux, the organiser of the Seagriculture conferences, recently announced the consolidation of Seagriculture USA and Seagriculture Asia-Pacific into a single event. This strategic move reflects the organisation’s aim to simplify the seaweed industry’s event calendar, strengthen global collaboration, and support innovation around the world.

“Bringing Seagriculture World to Bangkok allows us to position the event at the heart of global seaweed activity, " said the organising team at DLG Benelux, in a press release. “Asia accounts for the majority of seaweed cultivation, making it the perfect location to host a truly international event.”

The three-day programme is designed to engage, educate, and connect key players across the seaweed value chain through site visits to local seaweed operations and innovative projects, expert-led conference sessions and a trade exhibition. Poster presentations and structured networking events will also encourage global partnerships and idea exchange.
