Ostreid Herpesvirus Outbreak Reported in Norway

NORWAY - An outbreak of infection with ostreid herpesvirus-1 microvariant has been detected in Brumunddal, Norway.

The outbreak effected wild Pacific oysters in Tønsberg, Vestfold. The exact number effected is unknown.

The source of the outbreak is thought to be due to the horizontal spread through water and contact
with wild species.
