Iceland's Imported Raw Fish Processing Down in 2012

ICELAND - The total amount of imported raw material for fish processing to Iceland in the year 2012 was 62,125 tonnes, a decrease of 21 thousand tonnes from the year 2011.

The value of this import was ISK 7.1 billion which is ISK 2.8 billion lower than the previous year, reports Statistics Iceland.

Import of cod, redfish, catfish, spotted catfish, capelin and shrimp decreased but import of haddock, saithe, capelin roe, blue whiting and mackerel increased between 2011 and 2012.
