The average wholesale price of 18 vegetables was up by 5.6 per cent compared to the previous week, driven by gains in cucumber, eggplant and lettuce, with an increase of 21.2 per cent, 13 per cent and 9.5 per cent month on month.
The prices of poultry and eggs fluctuated slightly. The price of chicken was up 0.1 per cent while the price of eggs went down 0.1 per cent compared to the previous week.
The average prices of aquatic products went down 0.2 per cent week on week, led by crucian, grass carp and small hairtail, going down 0.9 per cent, 0.8 per cent and 0.7 per cent respectively.
The prices of meat fell back slightly. The prices of pork, mutton and beef down 0.3 per cent, 0.2 per cent and 0.1 per cent respectively.
The prices of edible oil fell overall, with the prices of rapeseed oil, peanut oil and soybean oil down 0.5 per cent, 0.1 per cent and 0.1 per cent respectively week on week.
The prices of cereal foods remained stable, with the prices of rice and flour the same as the previous week.
