With total investment of 100 million yuan ($15.4 million), the base is a Sino-foreign joint venture. It covers a combined floor area of more than 40,000 square meters, with a refrigerated warehousing capacity of 16,000 tons, reports ChinaDaily, quoting petnet.cn.
The base is expected to complete construction within ten months and go operational in 2017, according to local authorities.
The authorities added that when it is completed, the base will help boost local industries such as aquaculture, logistics, package and catering. It will also be win-win for local government, enterprises and fishermen.
