The 2025 Aquaculture Awards ceremony is to be hosted in Inverness, Scotland, on 19 June, and will highlight the achievements of those working hard to improve the industry.
Entrants will get the opportunity to scoop up prizes from 13 different categories, including notable titles such as Unsung Hero, Farmer of the Year, and Best New Start-up. Amongst the most coveted of the awards on offer is the Judges' Special Recognition Award, which acknowledges dedication and commitment to responsible farming practices.
"The Aquaculture Awards not only provide an opportunity for the sector to celebrate its successes and salute its high achievers, but are also a great excuse for everyone to get together," said Cheri Arvonio, director of the Aquaculture Awards, as reported by AquaFeed.
For the first time, the festivities will be adjoined by an industry conference featuring an engaging programme of speakers from across the aquaculture sector. Topics of discussion will likely cover industry advancements as well as current challenges faced by those working in the sector.
"We would like to hear about all those who have gone the extra mile in the past 12 months, whether they are exceptional farm staff, technical visionaries, or companies and organisations shaping future trends and driving the sector forward," Arvonio concluded.
Entries for the awards will be accepted until 10 March, 2025.
