Salmon Evolution's strong Q4 performance contributed to a total annual harvest of 4,891 tonnes - an increase of 1,874 year-on-year and representing 30 percent of all land-based salmon production in 2024. This improving performance was accompanied by an EBITDA of NOK 9 per kilogram.
"We are very pleased by ending 2024 with a new harvest record and strong KPIs, highlighting the significant milestones we have achieved the last 12 months. 2024 has further strengthened our position as the leading land-based salmon farmer globally," said Trond Håkon Schaug-Pettersen, CEO of Salmon Evolution, in a press release.
Salmon Evolution's strong end-of-year performance was supported by stable operations at its Indre Harøy and Dale facilities, which have a standing biomass of about 2000 tonnes, setting the company up for continued growth within 2025.
"We are entering 2025 with a fully stocked farm and a positive trend, providing strong growth momentum going forward," said Schaug-Pettersen.
Adding to this strong position of Salmon Evolution, the company has reported that the phase 2 expansion project at Indre Harøy remained strong, with the project on track for its first smolt release in the first quarter of 2026.
"We are on plan and budget and are very happy with the progress at the building site. With phase 2 up and running we will have an operational strength few in the industry can rival," Schaug-Pettersen said concluded.
