Peter Grothues has over 20 years of experience in the world of exhibitions. After graduating, he worked in various roles at the Dsseldorf Chamber of Small Industries and Skilled Trades and with exhibition company Handwerk Nordrhein-Westfalen before joining Klnmesse in 1995.
He took charge of various events for the company as project manager and product manager until 2004, when he became business unit head. From then until 2012, he had final responsibility for the success of the companys portfolio of trade fairs for the food & beverage, food & drink technology and environmental technology sectors both at home and abroad.
These included Anuga (the worlds leading food and beverage fair), Anuga FoodTec (international trade show for suppliers of food and beverage manufacturing equipment), ISM (the worlds largest confectionery exhibition) as well as Sweets China, World of Food Asia and other events in Asia and the Middle East.

GERMANY - Frankfurt am Main-based DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft e.V.) and DLG Service GmbH have announced the appointment of Peter Grothues as Managing Director of the Exhibitions Department.
