Vaughn Granter, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, announced C$12,180 through the Fisheries Technology and New Opportunities Programme to develop new promotional material and new packaging for the company's lobster products.
"Helping Newfoundland and Labrador seafood producers promote their high quality products throughout the world is a priority for our government. This investment of more than C$12,000 will help Codroy Seafoods enhance its visibility in global markets, deliver important information to consumers, attract new clients, and increase demand for its lobster products, which in turn benefits both the company and lobster harvesters," said Vaughn Granter, Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture.
The company plans for its new packaging to feature full colour graphic design and nutritional information. The new brochure will be distributed to potential buyers and at trade shows, and will feature information about the company's harvesting and processing activity, quality assurance measures, and various product lines.
"Codroy Seafoods is one of only a few operators in Newfoundland and Labrador processing cooked and frozen lobster products. Our company appreciates the Provincial Government's support of our efforts to create market demand for value added seafood, and we believe this project will make our lobster products stand out globally, and strengthen our competitive position abroad," said John Osmond, Owner, Codroy Seafoods Inc.
Codroy Seafoods Inc. intends to have all of its new promotional material developed and in use later this year.
