S. Korea Allows Fish Product Imports from Chile

SOUTH KOREA and CHILE - South Korea has approved the import of hake fish heads from Chile following inspections of processing facilities in the country last December.

Fish products from the regions of Aysen and Magallanes can now be exported to South Korea.

The director of the Division of Quarantine Policy, Jongming Jeon, said that during the inspection, "It was confirmed that the health aspects are properly supervised by Sernapesca."

The National Director of Sernapesca, Juan Luis Ansoleaga, stressed the importance of this new market for Chilean producers.
