Nutriad Introduces New Aquaculture Products in China

Post-harvest

CHINA - Multinational feed additives producer Nutriad participated in the VIV China held from September 6-8 in Beijing.

This year VIV successfully collaborated with the World Poultry Congress and the combined events drew close to 20,000 visitors. The event held in the world’s biggest feed market provided an excellent platform to Nutriad for the launch of new products to an audience of professionals from the industry and academics.

BK Chew, Regional Director APAC, commented on Nutriad’s first entry into the aquaculture sector in China with the introduction of Sanacore®GM, a functional feed additive aimed to reduce the impact of diseases and parasites on productivity of fish and shrimp.

Nutriad also presented Nutri®-Lyso, a natural enhancer of digestive and absorption process based on lysophospholipids for both aquaculture and livestock applications.

Mr Chew stated: “China, the largest feed producer in the world with 180 million MT feed, is the single most important focus country for Nutriad, and with a dynamic young team of professionals in animal health and nutrition, we have attained over 25% year on year growth in the last 5 years”.

Peter Coutteau, Business Unit Director Aquaculture, added: “We are extremely encouraged and excited over our first launch of aqua products in China and we are poised to help our partners here to meet the rapidly growing challenges in health especially with vibrio sp. in shrimp and gut parasites in fish.”

Finally Jim Zeng, Commercial Manager China, highlighted Nutriad’s expertise in mycotoxin risk management: “At this important event we launched our MycoMan® app, an on-line tool to help our clients in making day-to-day decisions. The feedback has been very positive as it is another example of the practical solutions Nutriad offers to the industry.”
