Countdown Begins for Bristol Commercial Fisheries Show

Sustainability Technology & equipment +2 more

UK - With 75 exhibitors and stand space sold out, the inaugural Skipper Expo Int. Bristol commercial fisheries show being held on 25 and 26 October 2013 looks set to attract strong interest from fishermen from throughout England and Wales.

There promises to be something to interest everyone with exhibitors from such diverse sectors such as marine electronics, engine suppliers, safety equipment, creels, chandlery and deck machinery. One of the star attractions will be a display of a GM7M fishing vessel built by G. Smyth Boats, which is ideal for potting and netting.

According to Sharon Boyle of organiser Mara Media, there has been a strong groundswell of support for this new show from English and Welsh fishing industries and she is confident that it will be well supported by a strong visitor turnout. Mara Media already organise the highly successful Galway and Aberdeen commercial fisheries shows and are publishers of popular commercial fishing magazine, The Skipper.

“We recognised there was a strong demand for a similar type of fishing expo to meet the aspirations of English and Welsh fishing communities and this is why we are launching Skipper Expo Int. Bristol,” she says.

“This will be a show that will prove a great place to do business as well as offering plenty of opportunities to meet with friends and socialise. It will be an all-encompassing expo that will showcase the vast range of equipment and services available within commercial fisheries today.”

Entry is free, and visitors can register on the day or pre-register online at www.maramedia.ie/registration

The expo will be held at the Marriott City Centre Hotel in Bristol on 25 and 26 October 2013, opening times 10am to 5pm.
