While their answers varied, many producers that stated that they not only experienced improved market access, but that the overall quality of their product was enhanced.
On 29 June during a GLOBAL G.A.P. workshop, GLOBAL G.A.P. presented an update on aquaculture developments and the activities performed and expected for the second 2012 quarter. With the support of Ms Le Tran Truong Thuy, who is responsible for Aquaculture and Fisheries at Control Union Certifications, the workshop was provided in both English and Vietnamese.
More than 60 delegates were present, including certification bodies currently active with GLOBAL G.A.P. aquaculture in Viet Nam and representatives of the GLOBAL G.A.P. National Technical Working Group in Viet Nam for Aquaculture.
There are currently certified organisations in Viet Nam for Pangasius and Shrimp.
