World's Largest Seafood Fair Set To Go Ahead

EU - The European Seafood Exposition, in its 18th year, and Seafood Processing Europe, in its 12th year, will take place 27-29 April, 2010 at the Parc des Expositions in Brussels, Belgium.

Together, these events make up the world’s largest seafood fair and attract visitors from more than 140 countries, from six continents around the globe.

Top buyers from all major purchasing categories attend the European Seafood Exposition and Seafood Processing Europe: Importer/Exporter & Broker/Trader; Processor, Fishing Company & Aquaculture; Services; Distribution /Wholesale; Retail; and Food Service/Catering.

The product interest of the visitors also covers the full breadth of the seafood and processing industries, represented at the exposition.

Every year buying decisions are made during, and immediately following, the European Seafood Exposition and Seafood Processing Europe.

Eighty-one per cent of European Seafood Exposition attendees have purchasing authority, and seventy-seven per cent plan on buying products or services as result of attending the exposition. As reported in a 2008 attendee survey, the median seafood purchases of attendee companies total 1.09 Million euros annually.

Similarly, seventy-seven percent of Seafood Processing Europe attendees have purchasing authority, and seventy-three per cent plan on buying products or services as result of attending the exposition. As reported in a 2008 attendee survey, the median seafood equipment purchases of attendee companies total 187 thousand euro annually.
