Over 60 companies have confirmed they will be exhibiting at the fisheries expo which will be held at the Marriott City Centre Hotel in Bristol on 25 and 26 October 2013, with the new space now secured providing the opportunity for several more companies to participate.

Sharon Boyle of organiser Mara Media said: “The Skipper Expo in Bristol is being launched following widespread demand from the English and Welsh fishing industries and we are delighted with the strong level of interest.

“This will be an all-encompassing expo that will showcase the vast range of equipment and services available within commercial fisheries today.”

Exhibitors will include companies from diverse sectors such as marine electronics, engine suppliers, safety equipment, creels, chandlery and deck machinery. An under-10m boat from G. Smyth Boats will also form a key focal point of attraction.

Meanwhile, the dates of next year’s Galway and Aberdeen fishing expos have already been announced. The 10th anniversary Skipper Expo Int. Galway will be held on 7 and 8 March, and the Aberdeen Expo on 30 to 31 May 2014.
