Seoul's Imports of US Fishery Goods Soar

SOUTH KOREA - South Korea's imports of fishery products from the US have jumped since the implementation of the free trade agreement with the world's largest economy, data showed Thursday.

After years of hard negotiations and ratification procedures, the free trade agreement, dubbed the "KORUS FTA," went into effect on 15 March last year, following a similar deal with the European Union that took effect in July 2011, reports YonhapNewsAgency.
