CALIFORNIA, US - Preferred Freezer Services is offering a reward for information on seafood products stolen from its facility in Vernon on 31 May.

To assist one of its active Governing Members, the Global Aquaculture Alliance passes on the following notice. Please contact Preferred Freezer Services if you have pertinent information.

Preferred Freezer Services has offered a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in response to stolen seafood products that originated from its Vernon, California, US, facility on 31 May.

A tractor trailer carrying 1,550 cases weighing 31,000 pounds of 31/40 Victory Seafood brand easy-peel shrimp left PFS on 31 May and was to be delivered on 7 June to a cold storage facility in Gouldsboro, Pennsylvania.

Network Commodities notified Preferred Freezer Services that the truck carrying the load went missing and notified California police.

Each 20-pound case of farm-raised shrimp from Thailand contains ten, two-pound bags inside the master box. The Preferred lot numbers that were issued to this product are 75192F and 72734F. The lot number is stamped on each case for traceability.

Preferred Freezer Services is offering the reward to assist its customer in finding leads to the missing product.

Any information regarding the specific load can be e-mailed to Julius Heil at jheil@pfsl.com or call +1-973-820-4040. All information will be held strictly confidential.
