Regal Springs, a leading producer in the global tilapia industry, has announced significant updates to its board of directors following a governance review. These changes are aimed at strengthening the company’s alignment with its shareholders and reinforcing its strategic objectives.

Annamaria Koerling, chairman of Golden Springs - the 100 percent shareholder of the company - expressed gratitude to outgoing chairman Torben Svejgaard and independent director Nicole Johnson-Hoffman for their contributions. Koerling acknowledged their roles in guiding the company and confirmed that both Svejgaard and Johnson-Hoffman will remain with the company as senior advisors.

In the leadership transition, Joerg Ayrle has been appointed as the new chairman, effective 5 August 2024. Ayrle, who has served on the board for four years and has extensive experience in the seafood industry, is expected to play a key role in driving the company’s future growth. Geir Molvik, with his substantial background in aquaculture, and CEO Alois Hofbauer will continue their roles on the board, ensuring continuity in leadership. Additionally, Mike Spittal has been introduced as the new shareholder representative on the board.

These board changes are part of Regal Spring's broader strategy to lead in the sustainable tilapia market and to support its ongoing expansion efforts.
