The Gulf of Maine Research Institute (GMRI), in partnership with the ClimateTech Incubator at Northeastern University’s Roux Institute, will host the summit at the Roux Institute.
The one-day event will convene investors, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders and ecosystem builders from around the world to explore the future of ocean and climate technology investment.
“The Gulf of Maine’s blue economy is at a pivotal moment," GMRI senior program Manager Alex Birdsall said. "By bringing global investors and innovators to Maine, we’re building the partnerships and capital pathways needed to turn breakthrough ideas into scalable climate solutions.”
Maine’s blue economy is already a $6.8 billion sector, supporting 90,000 jobs — roughly 1 in 7 across the state.
This year’s programme goes beyond broad themes to tackle the real questions facing founders and investors – what’s working, what’s changing and what’s needed next. The event will feature panel discussions featuring key trends shaping the future of blue economy investment, with insights from investors, entrepreneurs, industry experts, and policymakers.
