This represents an increase of 7.4 per cent compared with 2013, when revenues of $204.7 million were obtained, according to a report prepared by Honduras Central Bank (BCH).
BCH statistics also indicate that in 2012 shrimp exports reached $167.8 million, HondurasNews reports.
According to Victor Wilson, president of Andah, these projections are based on an increase in foreign demand, better international price and a higher volume of processed shrimp.
Mr Wilson also noted that the export of fresh, frozen and processed shrimp volume might range from 70 to 72 million pounds during the current year, newspaper El Heraldo reported.
