Aid for the owners will reach approximately 290,000 per month and for the crew, 45,000 per month.
Due to the political situation in the country and the impossibility of ensuring the safety of ships and their crews in these waters, the European Union Council has decided not to complete the internal approval process of the new protocol agreement with Guinea Bissau.
Given this unique situation, and in order to alleviate the difficulties faced the fleet who have no alternative grounds to fish, the process for granting aid to those affected has been launched. This is according to the criteria and conditions set forth in Article 21 of EC Regulation 1198/2006 European Fisheries Fund (EFF)

SPAIN - The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment is in the process of awarding grants to operators and crews of fishing vessels fishing in waters of Guinea Bissau that have been affected by the suspension of the Agreement between the European Union and the African country.
