With the top score in Seafood Intelligence's benchmark survey of sustainability reporting earlier this year, the Stockman Award 2012 and now silver prize in the Farmand contest 2012, Cermaq has received considerable praise and honor for its reporting and external information. What are highlighted and emphasized in all the accolades, is primarily Cermaqs transparency, credibility and consistency in its reporting.

"It's very nice to receive such honors, not least when it comes from three different sources," says Lise Bergan, Corporate affairs director at Cermaq. "There lies a lot of good work from a lot people behind our reports, and to get good feedback is very inspiring for us. To Cermaq transparency is crucial: it provides the basis both for our own improvement and for a good dialogue with our stakeholders. We see this as an inspiration to develop further."

Cermaq won the Farmand competition last year and came in third place in 2010, and has thus established its reporting at a high level.

The Farmand prize is awarded once a year to Norwegian organizations that through the annual report provide a remarkable effort to demonstrate their financial performance, framework, vision and position for investors (not applicable to public enterprises), as well as other actors.

The prize is awarded in three categories: Listed companies, Non-listed companies and Public Sector

The objective of the prize is to contribute to improved quality of Norwegian companies annual reports.
