Recent extreme weather, labour shortages, and rising feed costs – alongside persistent pressure from pests and disease – have triggered significant global food security concerns. As traditional farming models struggle to meet increasing demands, the industry is rapidly shifting towards advanced equipment to mitigate risks across the aquaculture sector.

Addressing these challenges, Aquatech Taiwan will be held from 8 to 10 September 2026 at TaiNEX one in Taipei. Part of Taiwan Smart Agriweek, the event offers direct access to cutting-edge technologies and modern farm models tailored specifically for the aquaculture industry.

From IoT sensors & pond farming in irrigation, feeding, to cage equipment, and aeration systems, the expo allows both visitors and buyers to explore practical on-site technologies, compare equipment, and connect with solution providers to identify upgrade needs to improve business profit and sustainable production.

Attendees can also join onsite knowledge exchanges with topics ranging from:

  • Feed innovation: exploring alternative feed & novel proteins, processing technologies to disease management
  • Smart environmental controls: Utilising biological agents and micro-bubble technology on farms.
  • Data-driven management: strategies to boost product yield for large-scale operations while maintaining profits.

Additionally, the three-day expo will feature 20 expert-led forums offering insights into current industrial challenges, market trends, and practical solutions.

To enhance procurement needs, Aquatech Taiwan introduces the Overseas Buyers Program, offering a 3-day accommodation, VIP services, and tailored B2B matchmaking, providing a seamless experience for sourcing needs. Full program details and registrations is open for applications at the official Taiwan Smart Agriweek website.

“More than an exhibition, Taiwan Smart Agriweek connects worldwide buyers and key industry players and advanced technologies, tailored to agribusiness needs – transforming climate-driven agricultural challenges into real business opportunities, long-term partnerships, and concrete business profit,” said Irene Liu, general manager of My Exhibition, in a press release.

As the industry faces ongoing climate uncertainty, the sector requires comprehensive solutions that assist in monitoring, decision-making, and execution to boost productivity. Aquatech Taiwan 2026 serves as a central platform to explore and source solutions for farms and agribusiness, while fostering collaboration between key industry players.
