Value of Icelandic Fish Catch Decreased during 2013

ICELAND - The total value of catch of Icelandic vessels amounted to 143.9 billion ISK in January-November 2013, compared with 151 billion ISK in the first eleven months of 2012, reports Statistics Iceland.

Total value decreased therefore by 4.7 per cent between years.

Total value of demersal species accounted for ISK 85.2 billion; thereof cod ISK 43.4 billion, haddock 11.2 billion, and redfish 12.7 billion.

Total value of pelagic species accounted for ISK 44.4 billion and flatfish catches for 9.3 billion.
