Industry experts from the Seafish team will be presenting at the event on key industry issues ranging from fishmeal and aquaculture, to consumer insight on responsible sourcing, and the reduction of greenhouse gases in the global seafood industry.
The Congress, held every four years, is running from 7 - 11 May at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. As one of the congress partners, Seafish is exhibiting for the duration of the event, where staff will be on hand to explain the role that the organisation plays in supporting the industry and the new direction that it will be taking following a discussion with industry earlier this year.
Dr Paul Williams, Chief Executive of Seafish said: "We are delighted to have played an integral role in the World Fisheries Congress in Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity to place the UK seafood and commercial fishing industries on the global stage, and the packed programme of presentations and events promises to achieve this. Seafish continues to work hard to support the industry through a range of projects and initiatives, and members of the team are pleased to showcasing this work throughout the week."
