Sea Turtle Release Gear Workshops for Snapper-Grouper Permitted Vessels

US - NOAA Fisheries will conduct outreach workshops to review required sea turtle release gear for federal South Atlantic commercial or for-hire Snapper-Grouper permit holders.

The workshops will cover gear requirements, where to purchase or how to make gear, how to use the gear, and possible fines associated with not having the required equipment on board the vessel. The workshops will be held during August in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
