OIE: Crayfish Plague Reported on Norwegian Fish Farm
NORWAY - An outbreak of crayfish plague in the Nord-Trondelag area has been reported to the OIE.
The outbreak was reported at a freshwater farm in Kvesjøen, Lierne, Namdal, Nord-Trondelag.
Morbidity and mortality are at 0.1 per cent and only one case has been reported.
The source of the outbreak is thought to be due to the illegal introduction/movement of new live animals.
