The general manager of the company José Miguel Barriga told FishfarmingXpert “This new diet is a powerful tool at a very competitive price for the current requirements.
"It is also a tool to support conventional treatments since it will be produced with diflubenzuron, a new alternative within the products that Salmofood already has in its portfolio”.
Salmofood now produces the second in-feed treatment containing diflubenzuron as an active ingredient which is authorised to be used against the ectoparasitic copepod that affects the local salmon industry, Caligus rogercresseyi.

CHILE - The Chilean fish feed producer Salmofood, member of the Invertec holding, announced that they have recently received a license for use of diflubenzuron in the country, a drug that will be included as an in-feed treatment against sea lice in a new line of medicated diets.
