Mutual Muttering on a Fishmeal Deal

IRELAND - Irish-based agribusiness Origin Enterprises is believed to be in talks with Norwegian firm Austevoll Seafood to combine their fishmeal and fish oil operations, reports the Irish Independent.

Both companies supply the aquaculture feed industry and have mutual interests.

Origin, which has bought agronomy business Masstock for more than £26m, has wholly-owned operations based in Ireland and the United Kingdom. It also has a 50 per cent stake in a manufacturing facility in the Shetland Islands.
