D J International Chief Executive Officer Shin Soo Yong and officials had talks with Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Minister Dr Rajitha Senaratne in this regard, reports DailyNews.

Mr Shin visited Puttalam and Kalpitiya with National Aquatic Resources Agency officials and explored how the Korean government could assist Sri Lanka in the cuttle fish industry.

"It is believed that squid, cuttle fish and octopus resources of the country are under utilised due to the lack of appropriate fishing technologies. We hope to obtain technical assistance from Korea in this regard," the minister said.
