SCOTLAND, UK - Scottish Sea Farms (SSF), one of Scotlands leading fish farming businesses, has scooped accolades at the Scottish Marine Aquaculture Awards, for the third year in a row.

The awards, organised by The Crown Estate, celebrate the achievements and success of marine aquaculture in Scotland, honouring its top performers and giving recognition to the industry.

At the ceremony this week at the prestigious Prestonfield, Edinburgh, SSF won the Best Finfish Farm Award for its Loch Spelve site on the Isle of Mull. It is the second consecutive year it has won the award after being recognised for its Loch Kishorn site in 2008.

The event was a double celebration, with Scottish Sea Farms’ Steven Jamieson – who runs the company’s Loch Nevis site near Mallaig – taking the title of ‘Farm Manager of the Year’. The award recognises hands-on farm managers who have displayed exceptional achievement resulting in notable benefits for their farms and/or companies.

Jim Gallagher, Managing Director of SSF said: "We are very proud to have won these top awards. They are testament to the hard work and dedication of the team at Loch Spelve and Steven's outstanding leadership and performance at Loch Nevis.

“These two examples are reflective of the high standards of animal husbandry and professionalism throughout our farming activity".
