Canadian Bionetix International delivers biosolutions – including applications for water quality, waste treatment and odour control – in aquaculture and related industries. Di Marco, who has been with the company since shortly after its 2010 acquisition by Cortec Corporation, will oversee the business unit’s strategy, operations, and product development.
“Diana’s knowledge of microbiology, her work ethics, communication skills and positive attitude were exemplary which made a huge impact on the team. Today, [almost] 15 years after joining the Cortec Family, Diana’s talent and leadership skills have resulted in Bionetix’s success in the global market,” said Borix Miksic, chief executive officer of Bionetix International’s parent company, Cortec Corporation, in a press release.
Caleb Pheneger, president of Cortec, believes Diana’s management and decision-making will prove to be well-balanced and valuable to all stakeholders – employees and customers alike – because of her strong leadership and customer-minded approach.
“Diana does a great job creating strategies and plans for the growth and development of Bionetix. We’re excited to see her lead action planning and goal setting for each department as we seek to accomplish our objectives collaboratively,” said Pheneger.
Cortec acquired Bionetix in 2010, inspired by Miksic’s vision to expand from environmentally responsible, biobased corrosion solutions, into biological treatments within the life sciences industry.
Bionetix International, under the leadership of Di Marco, is positioning itself to expand its role in the growing biosolutions market. The company aims to develop and deliver products that support environmental sustainability and address challenges.
