With 2394 visitors, 190 exhibitors and a 50 percent increase in floor space, Aquaculture UK 2018 exceeded expectations, as this photo gallery reflects.

Six hundred delegates attended the Scottish Marine Aquaculture Awards
Malin Marine made its Aquaculture UK debut in style, with a workboat that dominated the outdoor exhibition space
Fergus Ewing, Scotland's Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, opened the event
Dr Carly Daniels, who was nominated for three awards and went on to win one, at the Scottish Marine Aquaculture Awards preview
Several exhibitors brought along virtual reality headsets to entertain, amuse (and occasionally confuse) delegates
The Fish Site organised a Women in Aquaculture event, which included presentations and a panel discussion with three high flying women and one well known fish farmer

and raised plenty of laughs from the assembled audience
Lynne Frame of Scottish Sea Farms and Scott MacKay of AKVA were joint winners of the inaugural Rising Star Award
Ben Wilson of Inverlussa Marine picked up the Supplier of the Year Award
Sarah Last, manager at Scottish Sea Farms' Summer Isles site was the first female recipient of the Farm Manager of the Year Award
One of the highlights of the conference was a Q&A on cleaner fish, led by Jim Treasurer
The questions were answered by a panel that included Richard Prickett of Dorset Cleanerfish, Angela Ashby of Fish Vet Group and Andrew Davie of the Institute of Aquaculture
The exhibition included all manner of displays and gadgetry
While on The Fish Site stand live interviews were being filmed
AKVA had a considerable presence in the exhibition marquee
Footfall in the exhibition marquee was unprecedented
Pharmaq gave out cake and toy cleaner fish, to go with their fish health products
The next Aquaculture UK exhibition, is scheduled for 20-21 May 2020.
