TURKEY - The 5th anniversary edition of the Global Feed & Food Congress (GFFC) will be held for the first time ever in Turkey and will bring together the global feed and food chain in Antalya on 18-20 April 2016.

Organized by the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF) in cooperation with the European Feed Manufacturers' Federation (FEFAC) and hosted by the Turkish Feed Manufacturers' Association (TURKIYEM BIR), with technical support provided by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the GFFC has established itself as the leading global event of its kind.

“We are absolutely delighted that the next GFFC will be held in Turkey, which is at the heart of a fast growing region for the feed and food sector. Our Congress theme “Equity and Prosperity for all” links to the global challenge to provide safe, affordable, nutritious and sustainable animal protein sources to feed 9 billion people by 2050 and reflects our shared vision to achieve this for a growing world population now and for the future,” said Mario Sergio Cutait, IFIF Chairman.

Mr Cutait added: “Together with our host, the Turkish Feed Manufacturers’ Association, we look forward to welcoming delegates from around the world to Antalya, Turkey. We firmly believe that only by working together can we meet the demands of 60 per cent more food by 2050 and do so sustainably.”

The 5th GFFC is expected to attract over 1000 delegates from around the world and will feature exceptional speakers who will provide their insights and expertise in roundtables, plenaries and workshops.

The sessions at the 5th GFFC will cover the whole feed manufacturing and food processing value chain, with a special focus on Feed & Food Safety, Sustainability, Markets, Innovation, Animal Nutrition and International Regulatory Standards.
