World Seafood Congress Launches in Grimsby

Sustainability +1 more

UK - Seafood experts from across the world have arrived in Grimsby this week for the 2015 World Seafood Congress.

Taking place from 5-9 September at the Grimsby Institute, the congress’ theme is ‘Upskilling for a Sustainable Future’ with a programme that includes talks and workshops centred on trade, training and sustainability.

Led by experts and academics from 12 countries across the world, this year marks the first time that the congress has come to the UK, following residencies in Canada, Australia and Morocco.

Former fishermen and their families helped to launch the event on Sunday 6 September by attending Grimsby’s annual Lost Fishermen’s Service at Grimsby Minster.
