Li Jianhua, Director-General of MOA Bureau of Fisheries stressed that the industry needed to take a holistic view of agriculture and understand the laws of development of fishery industry, prioritising the position of fisheries, goals of modern fisheries, safeguarding supply of aquatic products and quality and safety of aquatic products, and safe production.
Zhang Xianliang, President of Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences said that fishery economics and strategic research were important areas of study, and it was our common responsibility to do this work well.
