Foodsize catfish feed delivered totaled 80,905 tons, down 10 per cent from the
corresponding month a year ago. Feed delivered for fingerlings and broodfish totaled 5,831 tons, down 11 per cent from
the corresponding month a year ago.
July feed delivered to Mississippi catfish growers for foodsize fish totaled 40,684 tons, down seven per cent from last year.
Mississippi accounted for 50 per cent of the total foodsize catfish feed delivered to US farmers.
The other major States with catfish feed deliveries for foodsize fish in July and their comparison to the previous year were
Alabama with 27,527, down 11 per cent; Arkansas with 6,792 tons, down 23 per cent; and Louisiana with 339 tons, down
50 per cent.
