Johor Ups Fish Production

JOHOR BAHARU, MALAYSIA - The Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Ministry plans to increase freshwater fish production, which is currently at 12 per cent of total output, to 50 per cent in 10 years.

According to news organisation Bernama, ts minister Datuk Mustapa Mohamed said freshwater fish production needed to be increased because of dwindling harvests of marine fish.

Mustapa told this to reporters after visiting a freshwater fish breeding project in Gelang Patah.
