GLOBE - The agricultural certification organisation, GLOBALGAP, is organising a series of aquaculture workshops across the world for auditors, quality managers and technical advisors.

According to FishUpdate, GLOBALGAP (formerly known as EUREPGAP) has established itself as a key reference for Good Agricultural Practices (G.A.P.) in the global marketplace, by translating consumer requirements into agricultural production in a rapidly growing list of countries (80 so far). It sets voluntary standards for the certification of agricultural products around the globe.

The objective of the workshops is to present the structure and documentation for a successful implementation of the GLOBALGAP Framework for the aquaculture sector and in particular, for Pangasius, Tilapia, Salmonids & Shrimp, reports FishUpdate.
