
The harvest fish had an average weight of 3.8 kg whole fish equivalent (WFE), with 91 percent of these achieving superior quality.
"It is a milestone to have produced and delivered our first fish with good results. With a good facility and skilled employees, everything is in place for a good production,” said CEO, Kjell Lorentsen, in a stock exchange announcement.
The construction of the company's flow-though facility, which is situated on the island of Lille Indre Rosøy, in Norway's Nordland county is in the final phase, with two out of three production basins completed. And the company said that it’s on track to ramp-up to full annual capacity of approximately 16,000 tonnes of head-on gutted (HOG) salmon by 2028.
They added that they plan to stock the facility with 2.2 million smolt during the third quarter of 2025.
