EU Trains Officials in Good Aquaculture Practices

INDIA - Representatives of the European Union (EU) are conducting a three-day Capacity Building Initiative for Trade Development (CITD) for Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA), Department of Fisheries and National Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture (NaCSA) on Good Aquaculture Practices.

The CITD is a programme being implemented by the EU to support India in strengthening its capacity to achieve economic growth.

Experts in the CITD have come out with a guide book on GAP for L. Vennamei culture in India, said R. Kulasekran, who acted as the resource person.

The MPEDA officials, staff of Department of Fisheries and NaCSA from Odisha, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh attended the training-cum-interactive session on the first day on Tuesday.
