Dutch to expand agricultural contacts with Iran
THE NETHERLANDS - The Netherlands Commercial Attache in Iran Adrie de Roo said here Sunday that the agriculture and animal husbandry exchange between Iran and the Netherlands stands at about dlrs 45 million annually. Following a visit to a caviar processing unit in this northern city, accompanied by the Dutch Ambassador to Iran Hein de Vries, de Roo told IRNA that the the two countries private sectors bear the bulk of the trade exchange between the two nations in various kinds of agricultural products.
He also added that the technical and governmental cooperation between the two nation is at a high level and they have good cooperation in agriculture and related industries.
De Roo also said that delegation is in this Caspian city for closer observation of fisheries facilities, production and farming of fish and caviar processing units.
The Dutch official also praised Iran's caviar industry facilities saying that the industry is among the most competitive in the world.
He said that the Netherlands is ready to cooperate with Iran in economic and agricultural sectors and transfer of new technology.
