Total catfish feed delivered in the United States during March 2012 was 25,457 tons, up 39 per cent from March 2011, and up 234 per cent from the previous month.
Farm-raised catfish processed during March 2012 totaled 27.7 million pounds round weight, down nine per cent from March 2011. The average price paid to producers was $1.20 per pound for March 2012, down 2.8 cents from last month but 12.6 cents above a year ago.
